Therapeutic Drug Monitoring (TDM) is arguably nowhere more critical than in the management of clozapine, a medication with a narrow therapeutic index and highly variable inter-patient pharmacokinetics. Timely access to clozapine levels is essential for optimizing dosing, ensuring efficacy, and minimizing adverse effects.
Despite this, many clinical decisions continue to rely on laboratory testing with turnaround times of several days, a delay that is increasingly unacceptable given the availability of proven, reliable point-of-care TDM technology.
Join internationally recognized clozapine expert Professor David Taylor as he reviews best practices for clozapine TDM, from implementation to interpretation of results. The session will highlight why rapid point-of-care testing can fundamentally improve clinical decision-making and challenge the assumption that centralized laboratory testing represents the gold standard.
